Responsibilities:

The Program Director of the Dental Hygiene Program ensures the fulfillment of educational goals and objectives, maintains full accreditation through the Committee on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association, and leads in both academic and workforce areas. The role includes meeting student retention goals, educational planning, program organization, staffing, training, supervision of faculty, evaluating program performance, student advising, budget management, and generating program reports. The Director acts as a liaison with the college administration while performing administrative functions. Enjoy several compelling benefits:

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Must meet requirements to teach in the disciplines within the program and maintain CODA compliance.
  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience: Must have at least 4 years of experience, Management experience required

Additional Experience & Credentials Required:

  • Must have the authority and responsibility necessary to fulfill program goals including curriculum development, evaluation and revision faculty recruitment, assignments, and supervision; input into faculty evaluation; initiation of program or department in-service and faculty development; assessing, planning, and operating program facilities; input into budget preparation and fiscal administration, coordination, evaluation, and participation in determining admission criteria and procedures as well as student promotion and retention criteria.
  • Must be a dental hygienist who is a graduate of a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and possess a masters or higher degree, OR a dentist who has a background in education and the professional experience necessary to understand and fulfill the program goals.
  • Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association (required within 30 days of employment)
  • Management experience required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and ability to judge instructors’ competence and effectiveness
  • This position requires a strong attention to detail and a positive, professional outlook

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
