We are looking for an experienced Nurse Leader to lead a new MSN program as the Program Coordinator, supporting program development and academic delivery in a fully online environment. The Program Coordinator will collaborate with the Dean of Nursing and other Nursing faculty and staff in the academic delivery, outcomes assessment, and improvement/development of the MSN program. The Program Coordinator will maintain a course load of up to 12 teaching/learning credits per semester and is responsible for delivering outlined content material and assessing student learning outcomes and progress through the course. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about leadership, education, and building innovative nursing programs.

CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTION

  • Teach classes as required by workload (range of courses to be specified), up to 12 teaching/learning credits per semester
  • Collaborate with the Dean of Nursing and faculty to assess the effectiveness of courses, analyze results, develop and implement improvement plans
  • Remain active in forward thinking in regard to educational technology trends that support and create educational access and opportunities for students and faculty

PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION

  • Work with the Dean of Faculty Assessment and Development to ensure courses are aligned with Quality Matters standards for online education
  • Participate in the development of policies and standards for the MSN program
  • Ensure compliance with institutional and programmatic accreditation standards, provide data and documentation for required accreditation reporting and activities
  • Participate in committee work at all levels, including department, division, and college
  • Provide academic advisement for assigned students
  • Other duties as assigned

STUDENT AFFAIRS

  • Participate in student onboarding and orientation
  • Provide regular and constructive feedback to students regarding academic performance, professionalism, conduct, attendance and other topics as necessary
  • Proactively inform Dean of any student issues or needs for remediation
  • Coordinate with Dean to facilitate the development and completion of remediation plans
  • Attend department and college events

JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of a Doctoral Degree (DNP, Phd, EdD, etc.)
  • 10+ years of clinical experience with at least 2 year in a nursing administration/leadership role
  • 5+ years of teaching experience (at least 2 years of lecture, online teaching experience a plus)
  • Must be familiar with LMS systems (we use Canvas, most others use Blackboard, etc.)

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Preferred: High School Diploma or GED. Associates Degree a PLUS
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s in HR, Management, Business or related field. Will also consider 2+ years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of education, with strong sales experience in service
  • 2 years of relevant sales experience in the Recruiting & Staffing field and a track record of exceeding quota

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Ability to concurrently perform multiple tasks.
  • Computer literate.
  • Manual dexterity to use/handle equipment and instruments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
