Join our TEAM as a Primary Instructor for our Nursing Assistant (NA-1) training program. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact by training future healthcare professionals. We offer thorough training and provide all necessary resources to ensure your success. This position is ideal for nurses who are passionate about education and have a desire to mentor and guide students through their journey in the medical field.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Instruction:

  • Conduct class, lab, and clinical instruction for the Nursing Assistant (NA-1) program.
  • Present materials in an organized and concise manner, facilitate discussions, answer questions, and proctor tests.
  • Demonstrate skills in the lab setting and assist students in learning essential caregiving techniques.
  • Offer professional insight and guidance to students to help them develop into quality-trained caregivers.

Administrative Duties:

  • Take attendance, enforce school policies, and document student infractions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the business office on program paperwork, student enrollment, and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations set forth by the Oregon State Board of Nursing and the Oregon Health Authority.

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in Oregon (Required).
  • Minimum 1 year of RN nursing experience, preferably in LTC skilled nursing facility settings.
  • Prior experience teaching adult classes is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively navigate PC systems and software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to sit or stand in a classroom setting for extended periods.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $44.00 – $48.00 per hour
