As a Director of Nursing/Administrator, your responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the delivery of clinical and caregiver services, ensuring compliance with home health laws and regulatory standards.
  • Managing a team of nurses, therapists, CNAs, aides, and social workers to meet client and patient goals.
  • Recruiting, hiring, orienting, training, supervising, and retaining qualified clinicians and caregivers.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of medical supplies/equipment and staff training on care procedures.
  • Assessing patient/client needs, addressing issues, and ensuring high satisfaction levels.
  • Efficiently managing financial resources related to quality patient/client care.
  • Directing daily operations of Home Health, covering staff supervision, patient care, quality assurance, budget management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Acting as a liaison between patients, their families, and the home health care team.
  • Overseeing interdisciplinary home health care teams to ensure patient goals are achieved and concerns are addressed.
  • Fostering a culture of patient safety and promoting continuous quality improvement.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Staying current with regulations related to home health care delivery and ensuring compliance across all nursing and caregiving activities.
  • Preparing for and participating in regulatory surveys and audits, addressing deficiencies, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensuring all client files adhere to HIPAA and relevant regulatory guidelines.

Key qualifications for a Director of Nursing/Administrator:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN or BSN license in CA.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in home healthcare.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory and caregiver management experience.
  • CPR certification.
  • Extensive knowledge of state and federal home health laws and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent management, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $130,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
