The Program Director is pivotal in guiding students’ futures and ensuring program success. They lead by example in professionalism, oversee academic quality, and engage in various activities within the campus and community. Responsibilities include recruiting and supervising faculty, ensuring engaging learning experiences, and documenting ongoing professional development. Adherence to policies and safety standards, conducting regular meetings, and assisting with curriculum review are also key duties. The Director provides feedback to faculty, mentors students, and ensures program compliance with accreditor requirements. Additionally, they oversee scheduling, participate in budgeting, and support student orientations, among other tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Must have knowledge of the respiratory therapy field and the clinical application of the classroom knowledge
  • Must have management and communication skills and the knowledge and ability to judge instructors’ competence
  • Requires a strong attention to detail and a positive professional attitude
  • The knowledge and skills of computer applications have become an essential component of performing the duties required of the Program Director
  • Minimum of four years clinical experience as an RRT
  • Two years’ experience in a CoArc accredited program as an educator or clinical preceptor
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree
  • Must hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential
  • Must hold a current state license

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
